We love seeing people around the world post about OFP in regards to our new 7”. But the translation plugins in twitter clients tend to leave something to be desired. Case-in-point, two recent tweets from Japan:
Darren Zentek(ex.Kerosene 454,oswego,channels,etc…)のドラムは国宝レベルに好きすぎるし、Bob Westonマスタリングということで、J.Robbins大パイセンの新バンドの7inchを買わない理由がない。
The translation is apparently: “Darren Zentek (ex.Kerosene 454, oswego, channels, etc …) is too fond of drum level national treasure, Bob Weston in mastering that, J. Robbins of the band’s new center of the pie there is no reason to buy 7inch .”
No reason to buy the 7”? Who knows if that’s really what was meant, though.
Office of future plan(ex.jawbox,kerosene454,oswego)の音源を聴いてみた。burning airlinesの新譜かと思った(特に一曲目)。。といいつつも好きなんだけど。
Tweetdeck translates this one as “Office of future plan (ex.jawbox, kerosene454, oswego) I heard a sound. I thought the new album burning airlines (especially the first song.) . I also like being nice.”
We like being nice, too, but we’d rather know what’s actually being said here. Anyone care to take a stab at a better translation of these?
