The Pauses Go On Tour
tour-o-blog:
Day 5 - 12:45 pm. We’re on the wind-down. Amazing to think that we’re closing up shop on this little tour and don’t have the desire to simultaneously strangle the life out of each other. Maybe this whole thing will work after all. Then again, we do still have one more show tonight, so maybe this assumption is a little premature.
After last night’s show in DC we could easily just...

The Pauses: Tour-O-Blog: The Pauses Go On Tour →
tour-o-blog:
Day 1 - 2:00 am. Nathan and I are snuggled in a kid-sized bed at Tierney’s cousin’s house. He took the right side that I could have sworn I claimed in the car. I guess particular bed-side calling doesn’t hold the same weight as shotgun calling.
Oh, the tour, yeah we’re on it. After much…

Album sequence
We’ve settled on a final sequence for our debut album, out in November on Dischord Records. There is a strong thematic separation between Side A and B, which I love. Here is the track listing:
Side A

2. Lorelei
3. Harden Your Heart
4. Ambitious Wrists
5. The Loyal Opposition
6. Your Several Selves
Side B
7. Abandon
8. You’re Not Alone
9. The...

Show 7/14 with Hammer No More The Fingers and... →
(click through to RSVP on Facebook)
We’re very excited to play with our friends Hammer No More The Fingers and Brice Randall Bickford (formerly The Strugglers) next Thursday at the Black Cat! Even better, this particular show will be a cello-fest, as each band features a different cellist (Hammer = Leah Gibson, and B.R.B. = Emily Wright).
Clearly this show is not to be missed! (unless you...

Fort Reno 2011
rendit:
Oh hey, Fort Reno schedule is up. Office of Future Plans, America Hearts, and Foul Swoops are all on deck, unfortunately not on the same night. Really appreciate that they’re using “ICE CREAM-EATING MOTHERFUCKERS” as a tagline but sad they chose to censor themselves. (Sad, but in no way surprised.)
Yes!! We almost played on the same night as America Hearts last year, but got rained...

Matching pledge to help Japan →
Like most of you, we’ve been shocked and devastated at the disasters Japan is experiencing. Like most bands, we don’t have a lot of extra money lying around to help, but we’re going to try to do our part.
So, for the next 24 hours, all sales of our digital 7” will be donated to the disaster-relief organization ShelterBox.org. Plus, we’ll match up to $100 in sales...

Big in Japan
We love seeing people around the world post about OFP in regards to our new 7”. But the translation plugins in twitter clients tend to leave something to be desired. Case-in-point, two recent tweets from Japan:
Darren Zentek(ex.Kerosene 454,oswego,channels,etc…)のドラムは国宝レベルに好きすぎるし、Bob Westonマスタリングということで、J.Robbins大パイセンの新バンドの7inchを買わない理由がない。
The translation is apparently: “Darren...

Dear Michael Darpino,
Thank you so much for attending our show last week and writing such a wonderful review! We’re thrilled you liked it so much. It was a truly great show, and the other bands (SPRCSS, Whoarfrost) were exceptional.

Our show with The Dismemberment Plan
So, we played with The Dismemberment Plan on Sunday night at the 930 Club. It was an amazing experience. The (sold-out) crowd was enormous and appreciative, the sound was amazing, and the club’s hospitality was great. Who knows if we’ll ever be lucky enough to play there again, but we’d jump at the opportunity.
Also, The Dismemberment Plan are an...
